Troopers seek truck in Bradenton crash with front-end damage

MANATEE -- The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 2:30 a.m. today on Cortez Road and Wildwood Springs Boulevard.

Two vehicles, one described as a red Ford Ranger, and the other as Nissan Sentra, were eastbound on Cortez, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Ford Ranger collided with the rear of the Sentra and then veered to the left across the median into westbound Cortez Road.

The impact caused the Sentra to rotate clockwise and move onto the shoulder of the road where it hit a large rock. It sustained $5,000 of damage. The Sentra's driver and passenger were uninjured.

No skid marks were found at the scene.

The Ford Ranger was described as having large wheel wells. The truck should have severe front-end damage.
