Calls to police reported that 40 to 50 shots were fired and several people were injured on the 2500 block of North Washington Boulevard.

Officers found three people – two of them inside a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo – who “suffered multiple gunshot wounds,” the release said.

Two victims were taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with critical injuries. The third person, who is from Bradenton, was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
