Man robs bank in Venice

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who robbed a bank in Venice on Wednesday morning.

The man entered RBC Bank on the 1700 block of South Tamiami Trail at 10:44 a.m., a media release said. The robber gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the man the money and he ran away, the media release said.

The man is described as 6-feet tall with red hair. During the robbery, he wore a yellow “LIVESTRONG” bracelet and a Tampa Bay Rays ball cap.
