MANATEE — Authorities and family members were searching for a missing 16-year-old Manatee County girl.
Taylor Caldwell, who lives in the 5700 block of 115th Drive East, Parrish, left her home and headed to school at her regular time on Monday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
But at 5:02 p.m., having not seen their daughter all day, Taylor’s parents called law enforcement and reported her missing.
The parents told deputies that Taylor had been angry because her cell phone and other privileges had been taken from her recently, the report states.
The parents received a call from Taylor’s school informing them that she had not been there all day Monday, the report states. The parents said they were worried about her well being.
Deputies followed up on leads given them by the parents but have not been able to find the teen.
Taylor is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She has long, straight brown hair and brown eyes. She wears dinosaur ear rings. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark purple hoodie sweatshirt with a Reebok symbol on it and, possibly, flip-flops. There were reports she was dropped off at Emerson Point park in Palmetto sometime Monday.
Anyone who sees Taylor is asked to call the sheriff’s office immediately at 941-747-3011.
