BRADENTON — Police are seeking a fourth person in connection with the shooting death of 27-year-old farm worker Ervin Perez-Perez on Oct. 22.
Laderrian D. Frazier, 24, is being sought by the Bradenton Police Department. An arrest warrant has been issued for Frazier, charging him with being a principal to first degree murder, police said Monday. They said Frazier should be considered armed and dangerous.
On the night of his death, Perez had left a friend’s home in a trailer park in the 700 block of 21st Street West at about 4 a.m. and had trouble finding his way out of the neighborhood. He returned to the home to have his friend help him with directions, police said.
The friend got into Perez’s red Ford Explorer as another friend waited on the side of the road. After getting directions, Perez stopped the vehicle to let the passenger out. That’s when someone in a Chevrolet Impala opened fire on the Explorer, killing Perez, the report said.
An estimated 17 rounds were shot from a handgun, according to Capt. Warren Merriman III of the Bradenton Police Department. Perez died at the scene.
Already under arrest in connection with the shooting is John Tyson Jr., 25, of Bradenton, who turned himself into the Bradenton Police Department on Wednesday and has been “cooperative” with law enforcement about the shooting, Merriman said.
Tyson Jr. has been charged with being a principal in the first degree murder case and is currently in Manatee County jail on a $1 million bond.
Also charged and in custody are Travin Martin Jr., 23, of Bradenton, and Charles Brown, 25, of Palmetto, who were arrested Oct. 22.
