MANATEE — A man walked into a tool trading store that was about to close at the Red Barn Flea Market at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. The man was holding a saw.
The store’s owner, assuming the man was there to sell the saw, continued to reach into his cash register to count the day’s till, according to a sheriff’s office report.
But the man approached the store owner, held the saw up to the owner’s face, quickly grabbed a large amount of cash from his hand and fled on foot, the report states.
No one was injured during the robbery at the market, which is 1707 First St. E..
