TAMPA -- Michael Lohan has been arrested again by Tampa police officers.
Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, walked out of the Hillsborough County jail around 6:05 p.m. Wednesday after being arrested early Tuesday and charged with domestic battery against his on-and-off again girlfriend Kate Major.
According to TPD, Lohan was taken back into custody early Thursday after violating the terms of his release.
Officers were called to Major's apartment on Lemans Boulevard in response to a harassing phone call she received.
Major told officers that Lohan had violated the terms of his release by calling her. While officers were at her home, Lohan called again and Major placed the call on "speaker" so they could listen.
During his Wednesday court appearance, Lohan was ordered by judge Walter Heinrich to have no contact with Major.
Officers responded to the Tahitian Inn located at 601 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, where Lohan was staying.
Upon seeing officers, he jumped out of a third story balcony in an attempt to escape arrest.
After a short foot chase, he was taken into custody.
After arriving at the jail, deputies suspected Lohan may have injured his foot. Police took him to Tampa General Hospital for medical evaluation of a possible broken foot.
Upon receiving clearance from doctors, he was taken back to Orient Road jail for processing.
