BRADENTON -- A 37-year-old homeless man was riding his bike Saturday night along 26th Street West when he was struck from behind and knocked unconscious, detectives reported today.
When he regained consciousness, near the BP station at 2602 26th St. W, he was missing $200 that was in his pocket and his bicycle, according to the sheriff's report. He did not see any suspect, who would be charged with strong-arm robbery.
The victim was taken to Blake with a possible fractured jaw and a concussion. He was admitted for observation, but his injuries don't appear life-threatening, the report stated.
