MANATEE -- Deputies early Friday shot a suspect with a stun gun after he lead them on a foot chase, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 12:10 a.m., deputies stopped Dominick M. Glover for a bicycle violation in the 1800 block of 30th Avenue West. At first, Glover complied but then he fled on foot, according to a news release.
He was chased between two homes, when a deputy fired a stun gun "to gain his compliance, which it did so," the report states.
Deputies said Glover discarded narcotics while running.
He was arrested and taken to the Manatee County jail, where he was being held on bonds totaling $1,750. He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstruction.
