BRADENTON -- Two men were arrested for burglary after an officer heard an burglary alarm coming from a stereo shop, the Bradenton Police Department reports.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Ninth Street West when the alarm sounded Monday at about 4 a.m. According to a report, the officer walked to the rear of the building and observed both Raymond Hurst, 27, and Michael Keffer, 29, running.
A pursuit followed when the pair jumped over a wooden fence into a parking lot and they were both arrested shortly after, the report said. Hurst was found with a long flat-head screwdriver in his front left pants pocket.
Hurst and Keffer were arrested on burglary charges and released from jail after posting bonds totaling $3,500 each.
