Manatee gas station robbed for second time in three nights

MANATEE — A CITGO gas station was robbed Thursday for the second time in three nights, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

In the latest incident, a man walked into the station at 575 66th St. Court E. about 10:24 p.m. He "implied he had a weapon" and demanded money, a news release states.

The clerk gave the suspect money, and the assailant then fled.

As of early this morning, no arrest had been made.

In a robbery Tuesday evening, a man entered the station and demanded money, fleeing with an unknown amount of cash, according to the sheriff's office.

No arrest has been reported in that case.
