Bradenton convenience store robbed twice

MANATEE -- A 7-Eleven convience store in the 5600 block of 14th Street West was robbed at 7:35 p.m. Monday and then again at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

A man entered the store Monday and made contact with the victim at the sales counter, holding his hand under his shirt as if he were pointing a weapon. No weapon was actually seen, according to the sheriff's report.

The robber stated, “Hand me the money, I don’t want anyone to get hurt ... put it in a bag." The victim complied and placed money from the cash drawer into a plastic bag.

The robber took the bag and fled from the store.

The robber was described as 5-foot-9, weighing 140 pounds, and wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a white shirt over his face as a mask.

The description of the robber is the second robbery was similar with the exception of a red sweatshirt, rather than a white shirt.
