MANATEE -- A boating accident Saturday night left a 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman injured, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission reports. The female victim, who was eight months pregnant, lost her baby as a result of the accident.
The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. at Flounder Pass, where the victim and his brother planned on meeting.
The victim was in a 16-foot Carolina Skiff that was ran over by his brother, 28, who was driving a 23-foot vessel of the same make, according to Gary Morse, spokesman for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Morse said the victims were both found unconscious in the water.
