BRADENTON -- Two 23-year-old males were arrested Tuesday in the attempted robbery of a man at gunpoint, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of AMF Lanes, 4208 Cortez Road, according to an arrest report.
The victim told officers that Dominique Campbell pointed a silver-and-black hand gun at him and demanded his wallet, the report said. The victim also identified Travin Lenard Martin as the other suspect, according to the report.
Officers caught up with the pair’s vehicle as they were approaching 26th Street West, where they took officers on a high-speed chase that ended at 17th Avenue West and 34th Street West, the report stated.
After being read his rights, Campbell said they only drove through the parking lot at AMF Lanes and never stopped there.
Campbell went on to tell officers that he didn’t stop the car when they were in pursuit of him because he panicked, thinking his license was suspended, the report said.
Martin was charged with armed burglary with a firearm or deadly weapon and is currently in Manatee County jail without bond. Campbell has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and fleeing or eluding law enforcement at a high speed and is being held in the jail on a $125,000 bond.
