Pregnant woman sought after alleged assault, escape in Manatee

MANATEE -- Detectives say they are looking for a pregnant woman who reportedly smokes crack cocaine because she attacked her boyfriend and threatened to drive off a bridge.

Jeanette White, 28, got into an argument with the victim and told him she was going to drive off of a bridge, according to the sheriff's report. The victim got into the car to keep her from driving away from the apartment in the 4800 block of 21st Street W., but she bit the victim twice on his bicep and stole his wallet, the report states. White, who is six months' pregnant, then fled in the car, a gray four-door 2000 Dodge Intrepid with a Florida tag, #530NYL.

There is probable cause to arrest the suspect on charges of domestic battery and theft, but detectives have not located her. They issued a "be on the lookout" alert and entered the information in state and national databases.
