3 arrested after burglary try in Parrish

MANATEE — Three men late Saturday were arrested after they were spotted trying to break into a house in Parrish, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

A resident was at home about 10:30 p.m. when he saw Antoniyo Simpson, 31, Ricky Robinson Jr. 22, and Keith Smith, 30, driving slowly through his subdivision in the 11500 block of 28th Street Circle East. The suspects stopped a short distance from the witness's residence and approached it, entering the backyard through a gate, according to a report.

They pried a window partially open but were unable to get inside. They went back around and when they saw that they were be watched, they fled in a vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies located the suspects near the entrance to the subdivision, and arrested them after they found a stolen gun and burglary tools in the vehicle, according to the report.

Robinson was in the Manatee County jail, charged with burglary, grand theft of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of burglary tools. His bonds totaled $17,750.

Simpson faces charges of burglary and driving without a license. His bonds totaled $10,120.

Smith faces charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools. His bonds totaled $10,750.
