Bradenton man mugged while walking with daughters

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was mugged while walking down a street with his two daughters, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The man and his daughters, ages 7 and 3, were walking down Fifth Street East about 2:23 p.m. when the man observed a white Honda Civic parked at the intersection with 59th Avenue East. As he approached the vehicle, a man got out, pointed a silver revolver at him and demanded money, according to the news release.

The victim handed over his wallet, which contained cash and identification. The suspect then drove away west on 59th Avenue East, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies searched the area but did not find anything, according to the report.
