Armed robbery by three men reported in Manatee

MANATEE -- Three men committed armed robbery with a handgun at 5:40 p.m. Sunday in the 4800 block of Glenbrooke Drive in Manatee County, the sheriff’s office reports.

The victim was walking down the street when a black, four-door sedan pulled up next to him. Three men stepped out of the car and approached him.

Each suspect was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket with the hood up, according to a sheriff’s report.

The driver of the vehicle told the victim, “Give me all you have.” When the victim questioned what the statement meant, the suspect pulled up his jacket and revealed what appeared like the handle of a black firearm, the report states.

The victim told the suspects to take whatever they wanted.

The males then searched him and took his phone, which was all he had on him, the report adds.

The suspects got back into the vehicle and fled west toward Lockwood Ridge Road.

The victim walked to his girlfriend’s house to call the police.

The victim told deputies that one of the suspects was clean shaven with sideburns, one was bearded and the other had a goatee.
