MANATEE -- The owner of a Bradenton pawn shop has been charged with trafficking in stolen property and grand theft, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives say they developed evidence that Mark Goodman, 51, was dealing in stolen property out of his businesses, 15th Street Pawn and DWG Motors, 5712 15th St. E., Bradenton. Goodman was arrested after detectives today executed search warrants at the businesses, according to a news release.
Detectives recovered several stolen items, including tools and jewelry, the sheriff's office said.
The investigation, which was conducted with the help of the Florida Bureau of Investigation, is continuing and more arrests are pending, according to the sheriff's office. The state agency regulates pawn shops in Florida.
