MANATEE — An intoxicated man was walking to the store from his home when he was approached by two men who asked for money and then stabbed him Saturday afternoon, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
The assailants asked in a non-threatening manner if the man had any money. It wasn’t until the man was reaching for money when he was sliced, sustaining a three-inch cut to his arm and a two-inch superficial abdominal cut, just before 2:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of 26th Avenue East in Bradenton.
He was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital for stitches.
The attackers, who did not take anything from the man, were described as being in their 20s, close to 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Both also had close-cut hair cuts, no facial hair and no glasses.
The man told deputies he had never seen the two men before and that he did not want to file a report.
