MANATEE — A Bradenton man is facing charges he beat his girlfriend after he found her in the arms of another man in their house last week, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
William J. Boswink, who was arrested Tuesday, allegedly dragged his girlfriend outside when she was half dressed. When he noticed other people were watching, he dragged her back inside and kicked her in the face, causing a laceration to her eye, according to an arrest report.
The girlfriend then left the home with the man she was caught having sex with and was taken to a friend’s home.
Boswink showed up at that residence to argue with her. She got into his car willingly and left. The argument remained verbal until Boswink punched her in the head, causing him to lose control of the car and hit a mailbox, the sheriff's office said.
He had to stop to change a tire when the woman fled the area and reported the incident. Deputies observed that she had a laceration to her upper left eye, abrasions on her right back and a bruise to her right hip.
Deputies said the woman’s story was inconsistent and she denied them access to search her home.
As of this afternoon, Boswink remained in jail without bond.
