Manatee deputies looking for 2 bank robbers

MANATEE _ Authorities were looking for two gunmen who robbed a University Parkway bank this morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Witnesses said two men armed with handguns entered the BB&T Bank, 5375 University Parkway, about 10:30 a.m. They jumped over the counter, pointed guns at employees and demanded money, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank on foot. No one was injured.

The first suspect was described as standing 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a slim build and in his 20s. The second suspect was described as standing 6 feet tall, with a slim build and in his 20s. Photos of the suspects were not immediately available.
