LAKEWOOD RANCH - A Lakewood Ranch man faces drug charges after a state trooper found a pound of marijuana and $4,450 in cash during a traffic stop, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A trooper made a traffic stop on Robert C. Martin about 4:24 p.m. Thursday on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, just south of State Road 70. As the trooper interviewed the driver, he detected a strong odor of marijuana.
A search of the vehicle, an Oldsmobile Intrigue, revealed the marijuana and the cash. The trooper seized the contraband, as well as the car.
Martin was arrested and faces charges of possession with intent to sell/ deliver, possession of drug Pparaphernalia and miscellaneous traffic charges.
