Cars targeted by thieves during soccer game in Lakewood Ranch

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- Some soccer fans discovered their vehicles had been burglarized Sunday by thieves who bashed in their windows.

Three vehicles parked next to each other in a Lakewood Ranch High School parking lot near the soccer fields and each had their windows broken out sometime between 11:55 a.m. and 12:20 p.m., according to a sheriff’s office report.

Each car had a purse removed, all of which had been left on the seat in plain view, the report adds.

There are no suspect description,s but one victim told deputies that a full size white sports utility vehicle backed in beside his vehicle when he went to get his sunglasses.
