About 20,000 pounds of fertilizer spilled after a semi-truck overturned on Duette Road in East Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 11:09 a.m. Thursday, FHP received a call that a semi-truck with a hopper trailer had overturned on the shoulder at the intersection of Duette Road and McCloud Road, about four miles north of State Road 64.
A wrecker was called to tow it away, according to trooper Kenn Watson. One lane was blocked, Watson said, but traffic was alternated to allow both directions to pass.
The fertilizer spilled as a result of the rollover. There are no serious injuries reported.
The cause of the rollerover has not yet been identified.
