Humane Society of Manatee County vaccinates more than 200 dogs, cats for free
MANATEE -- The Humane Society of Manatee County vaccinated about 250 dogs and cats as part of its Paws for Life free vaccine event last Saturday.
The Humane Society offered free rabies vaccines to pet owners at Pride Park on Saturday, located at 815 63rd Ave. E. Chihuahuas, dachshunds, dobermans, pit bulls, poodles, schnauzers and some cats were vaccinated.
A total of 94 low-income pet owners also signed up to have their pets spayed and neutered.

"Pet owners and their pets as well as our community benefit from wellness care," said Amy Van Dell, Director of the Humane Society of Manatee County. "One of the most important health decisions pet owners will make is to spay or neuter their cat or dog because of the life-long health benefits."
