Marauders, Goodwill will honor vets at May 18 game
BRADENTON -- Goodwill Manasota and the Bradenton Marauders are partnering to honor veterans during the 6:30 p.m. game May 18 against the Fort Myers Miracle at McKechnie Field, 1611 Ninth St. W. Anyone who donates or shops at Goodwill in Manatee or Sarasota will receive free tickets to the game while supplies last until May 17.
Festivities will include special honors and attention for veterans. Organizations serving veterans will have booths during the game to share information about their work to assist this country's military heroes.
Additionally, 100 veterans and family members served through Goodwill's Veterans Services Program will enjoy special treatment in the "party deck" area of the grounds.

State Rep. Greg Steube, R-Sarasota, is expected to administer the enlistment oath to 15 persons around 6:15 p.m. A veteran will throw out the first pitch.
