MANATEE -- The National Weather Service is calling for hot and steamy conditions in Bradenton on Wednesday.
Skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 92 -- and heat index values as high as 101. Winds will be from the east at 6 to 8 mph, and become northwesterly in the afternoon.
There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon, according to the Weather Service.
Wednesday night, skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 76. The chance of rain drops to 30 percent, with showers and storms possible before midnight, according to forecasters.
