Rain forced the postponement of Manate High School graduation ceremonies Saturday night.
Families and friends had begun to fill up the stadium a couple hours before the 8 p.m. scheduled festivities. Seniors gathered in the gymnasium awaiting the day they had worked towards for 13 years.
Principal Don Sauer and Superintendant Rick Mills were upstairs watching the rain radars.
Then Saucer walked into the gymnasium and student quickly took their seats.
Graduation would be postponed until 9 a.m. Sunday morning due the weather which was not expected to pass for hours, Saucer said.
