Local police officers, firefighters can get free meal Tuesday at Golden Corral in Bradenton

The Golden Corral restaurant in Bradenton is one of six statewide that is offering free food and drink to police officers and firefighters on Tuesday, the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

The free "thank you" buffet and beverage offer will be extended to all police and firefighters who either arrive in uniform or present a valid identification card. The can dine for free from 11 a.m. to closing.

The Bradenton restaurant is located at 5525 Cortez Road.

This year makes the third year that Anthony Verderame, franchise owner of the six participating Golden Corral restaurants, has offered free meals to local police and firefighters on Sept. 11th.

“Our police and our firefighters serve us selflessly each and every day. So, on September 11th, we wanted to turn the tables and to serve them with a free meal and a bit of our Golden Corral hospitality," Verderame said in a news release.
