MANATEE -- Tropical Storm Isaac may be heading towards Florida but at least for Thursday, the storm should have no effect on Bradenton's weather.
The National Weather Service said there is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Otherwise, Bradenton should see partly sunny skies and a high near 91. New rainfall amounts of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain are possible, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms, according to the Weather Service.
Thursday night, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent with a low of about 76.
A river flood warning for the Manatee River near Myakka Head remains in effect.
