MANATEE -- Showers and thunderstorms are likely in Bradenton on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to develop over the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday morning, before moving onshore. Some storms could produce locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.
Specifically for Bradenton, forecasters were calling for a 70 percent chance of rain, with partly cloudy skies and a high near 88.
For Tuesday night, forecasters were calling for a low around 77 and a 30 percent chance of rain.
For Wednesday morning, the chance of rain increases to 60 percent.
