BRADENTON -- Representatives of the Riverwalk project team will be at the Downtown Bradenton Farmers' Market on Saturday to answer questions about their plan.
The Bradenton Downtown Development Authority has created a plan to redevelop the park along the Manatee River to better serve residents and promote economic development by attracting more visitors and businesses to downtown Bradenton. The funds for the project are from real estate taxes paid by downtown businesses and residents and allocated for downtown improvement projects. Representatives from the project team will be available at the Realize Bradenton Information Booth on Old Main Street from 10am – 1pm to discuss the green design, unique features, project costs, as well as the plans for events, festivals, wellness activities, regattas, sports and fishing events, entertainment, and community offerings. Drawings will be available for viewing. Team members for Saturday’s session include: Dale Weidemiller, Project Manager; James Pankonin, Landscape Architect from Kimley-Horn & Associates; Ron Allen, NDC Construction; and Johnette Isham, Realize Bradenton.
