The birds of Celery Fields (with photo gallery)

More than 200 species of birds, including egrets, herons and roseate spoonbills, have been identified as spending time at the Celery Fields, former farm land that is now Sarasota’s main flood-mitigation zone. Located off Palmer Boulevard in east Sarasota County, the park is made up of lakes, marshes and grasslands.
