MANATEE — The local jobs picture remained dim last month, according to figures released today.
Manatee County’s unemployment rate was an estimated 13.2 percent in February, little changed from January’s revised 13.3 percent, the Agency for Workforce Innovation said this morning.
An estimated 19,077 county residents were looking for jobs last month, the agency said.
Manatee’s jobless rate was tied for the 20th-highest in Florida, where the overall unemployment rate was 12.2 percent — up from January’s revised 12 percent.
Sarasota County’s jobless rate was 13.1 percent last month, down from a revised 13.4 percent in January.
