Get Down Downtown on St. Patrick’s Day: Old Main Street, Bradenton

Get Down Downtown changes from its regular third-Thursday slot this month to celebrate on Wednesday, March 17, instead. The bands begin at 4 p.m. with the National Anthem, honor guard and presentation of the Irish-American Citizen of the Year at 6 p.m. Bands include Big Daddy, Final Cut and the Tommy Devine Duo. Special St. Patrick’s Day fare, live music and more. There will be a kids zone 4-8 p.m. Information: (941) 518-4997.

Aces St. Patrick’s Day Celebration: Aces Lounge, 4343 Palma Sola Blvd., Bradenton

Aces Lounge will host a day-long St. Patrick’s celebration beginning at noon March 17, featuring live music by the Bruce Katz Band, Gumbo Boogie Band, The Tucci Band, Left Blue Fender, Terry Helm, Koko Ray, Swamp Donkie, special St. Patrick’s Day food and drink specials, raffle prizes, bike show and more. The 10th annual Clancy’s St. Paddy’s Day Bash will be noon-1 a.m. March 17 featuring Irish food, continuous entertainment under the tent by Just Friends, Manatee Cloggers, bagpipers, Billy Rice, Tony Tyler and authentic Irish music by Tommy Devine and Paul William. St. Patty’s Day Party: Tequila Beach Sport Grille, 7423 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Tequila style, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. March 17. There will be Irish food and drink specials all day, live music, Irish Trivia, and even an “Irish Jig Off” in which the best dancer in the house gets a free bottle of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey. There’s a “Pot of Gold” raffle where participants can win great prizes, some from the Guinness brewery in Ireland. Live traditional Irish dancing performed 1-3 p.m.

Fifteenth Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival: Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511, 2511 75th St. W. Bradenton

Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511 will hold its 15th annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival noon-9 p.m. March 17 featuring traditional Irish music and entertainment by Pooka, the Sarasota Highland Pipers and the Drake School of Irish Dance. The Beach Bistro’s 12th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Holmes Beach

The Beach Bistro’s 12th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 4 p.m. Sunday in Holmes Beach. The parade will proceed from the former Tidemark property at 54th Street and Marina Drive north along Marina and Palm Drives to 79th Street in Holmes Beach. It will feature high school bands, three pipe bands and players from the Pittsburgh Pirates, an associate sponsor of the parade.
