Bradenton Chicken salad fans, you’ve only got about a month to wait.

Chicken Salad Chick, a Southern fast-casual restaurant I wrote about in May, posted an opening date for its Bradenton location via Facebook on Friday.

The Auburn, Ala.-based chain plans to open on Sept. 7 in its Shoppes at Paradise Bay location, 7350 Cortez Road W. The Benderson Development Co.-owned shopping center is at the corner of Cortez Road and 75th Street West.

Franchisees Cody and Elizabeth Toole leased an approximately 3,200-square-foot spot in the plaza for five years with a five-year option from Benderson Development Co., according to Manatee County records.

Per the Chicken Salad Chick website, the “secret recipe” is made up of “a lotta chicken, barely enough mayonnaise to mention, 1/2 cup of everything your Mama taught you in the kitchen, 1 cup of love for the people you are serving and a dash of Southern style.”

The Bradenton store doesn’t have a menu on its chickensaladchick.com webpage yet, but the Tampa menu gives a preview of what Bradenton residents may find if they pay Chicken Salad Chick a visit on Sept. 7.
