I didn’t know it until a few months ago, but one of my favorite types of cuisine is Peruvian food. It’s hearty, comforting and completely different than everything I usually eat.

Going to Brasa & Pisco, 8347 Lockwood Ridge Road, is always a welcome treat in my book. But, as most people my age (I’m 25) know, it’s not affordable to dine out as much as I’d like. So I was happy to see Brasa & Pisco’s latest deal hit my inbox.

Monday through Thursday, Brasa & Pisco is offering a two-for-$25 menu in which guests can enjoy one appetizer, two entrees and split a dessert. For an additional $15, guests can order a bottle of Brasa & Pisco’s house Viña Maino.

The two for $25 menu options include:

Appetizer:

Ceviche Peruvian Style: Marinated fish with lime, Peruvian peppers, onions and cilantro

Pork Wontons: Homemade wontons stuffed with marinated pork and huacatay sauce finished in a Peruvian tomato and onion salsa

Potato Fritters: Potato stuffed with chopped Peruvian marinated beef tenderloin and sweet raisins

Entree:

Seco De Res: Slow-braised beef with a cilantro broth, peas and carrots, and served with rice and Peruvian beans

Aji De Gallina: Marinated pulled chicken with a Peruvian creamy cheese sauce with rice

Peruvian Country Ham: Family recipe country ham with mash potatoes and local vegetables with two homemade gravies

Rotisserie Chicken: Marinated Peruvian style quarter chicken served with a selection of two sides (fries, salad, rice, or beans)

Chaufa Chicken: Peruvian style fried rice cooked using high flame burning wok (served with chicken, or choose beef for an additional $4 or shrimp for $5)

Dessert:

Chocolate Mousse: Homemade chocolate mousse topped with passion fruit syrup

Picarones: Butternut squash and sweet potatoes flower doughnut finished in a fig syrup
