Sarah Beth Scott has joined Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine and Pain Management as a marketing assistant. In her new position, Scott will support all departmental projects directed at increasing the practice's brand recognition and footprint, with a focused effort on increasing patient volume. Scott is the third member of Coastal Orthopedics' internal marketing department, and one of more than 200 employees companywide. A recent graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, Scott studied marketing and advertising and held several leadership roles within student organizations.
Hellen Osorio, Gateway Bank's assistant vice president and credit analyst, was recently named president of the Risk Management Association -- Sarasota Chapter. Osorio will serve one year Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2016. She also will serve as education chairwoman. Osorio was named to the Sarasota Chapter board of directors in November 2013 as communications chairwoman. She was then elected vice president for the 2014-'15 year. In her new role, Osorio will oversee the chapter's committees, administration, and general functions. Osorio began her banking career five years ago with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. She joined Gateway Bank in October 2013 as credit analyst. She is in her senior year at the University of Florida, Florida school of banking and will graduate in 2016.
Marina Rambo, a USF Sarasota-Manatee information technology student, was named "Most Outstanding Technology Summer Analyst" at JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Tampa offices. She also was offered a job upon graduation next spring. As she returns to school this semester, Rambo is signed up to serve as a student ambassador and said she's working to establish a student chapter of the American Association of University Women before she graduates.
Aaron Chavarria was named executive chef for Siesta Key Oyster Bar. Originally from Nicaragua, he studied agricultural engineering in Germany before finding his calling in the culinary world. He received his professional training in Europe. He has a passion for fusing colorful spices and flavors from Florida and the Caribbean. He specializes in resort style, sustainable, farm-to-table dishes. He incorporates local seafood and produce into his dishes. He plans to incorporate a few creative new dishes into the menu that will complement Siesta Key Oyster Bar's classic dishes.
