The Manatee County Bar Association has elected Blalock Walters litigation attorney Marisa J. Powers to its board of directors. Blalock Walters has had numerous attorneys who have served as members, six of whom have served as past-president. Manatee County Bar Association is a nonprofit voluntary organization for attorneys and judges in Manatee County with more than 340 members.

Levy were newly elected to the Manatee County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors. Amanda C. Smith, real estate attorney, will serve as secretary after having served on the Young Lawyers Board since 2013, and health care attorney, Ann K. Ashley Brown, executive director of the Women's Resource Center of Manatee in Bradenton, has been named to the Leadership Florida Board of Directors, where she will serve as the Calusa regional chair. Brown is a graduate of Leadership Florida's Class XXXI and served previously as statewide communications chair.
Attorney Andrew Boyer of Boyer & Boyer P.A. was awarded the Judge Robert B. Bennett Jr. Pro Bono Excellence Award presented by Legal Aid of Manasota and the 12th Judicial Circuit. The award is the highest honor bestowed upon an attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit for pro bono legal assistance provided to indigent individuals and families in Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties. Boyer was selected for overall excellence, leadership and dedication to the community.

The dental practice of Zamikoff, Klement, Jungman and Varga welcome James Robert Troxler D.M.D. to its team effective Monday. Raised in Bradenton, Troxler graduated from Manatee High School, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and continued his education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he earned his doctorate of dental medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, West Coast Florida Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Sandra Frank, chief executive of All Faiths Food Bank, has been elected secretary of the Florida Association of Food Banks board of directors. The association's board is made up of representatives of 13 regional member organizations of Feeding America. Combined, the member food banks serve all 67 counties in Florida.
Jennifer L. Grosso, a shareholder with the Sarasota law firm of Williams Parker, has been selected a fellow of the real property, probate and trust law section of the Florida Bar. Grosso is one of two attorneys selected as a fellow and her two-year fellowship began July 1.
