Damean Searle has joined Insignia Bank as a senior residential lending originator. He will be based out of Insignia Bank's Bradenton loan production office, 1301 Sixth Ave. W. Searle has more than 10 years of experience in residential lending in the Manatee market. He currently serves as the education co-chair for the Florida Gulf Coast Mortgage Bankers Association.
Amanda Thomas has joined Laugh N Learn Academy as a teacher for the 4-year-olds. She is from South Carolina, where she has worked with children for eight years and is from a long line of teachers and educators. She is alumni of Spartanburg Methodist College and Coastal Carolina University.
Dr. Rachel L. Fazio of the Carter Psychology Center was approved by the National Academy of Neuropsychology's board of directors to serve on the organization's Women in Leadership committee. Fazio will serve a two-year term on this committee, designed to promote women in leadership positions throughout the field of neuropsychology. Fazio is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology.
Cindy Furtado has joined Charity & Weiss International Realty LLC as a sales associate. Furtado has been specializing in selling tropical residential and investment property and luxury resort real estate for 25 years. She is a licensed real estate agent in Hawaii and Florida. She spent her formative years in western Canada. The company recently moved from downtown Sarasota to the Proctor Center, 2050 Proctor Road.

A founding director has been chosen for the Florida State University College of Medicine's new internal medicine residency program in Sarasota, which plans to admit its first residents in 2017. Wilhelmine Wiese-Rometsch, M.D., who has experience as both a program director and assistant dean for graduate medical education at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center, will be the program director for the new residency program based at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. Wiese-Rometsch completed her residency training in internal medicine at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine/Pitt County Memorial Hospital in 1995 and stayed as faculty member until 2000.
Gary Tuhro has joined Sarasota Tile Outlets of America team as the Pro Services relationship manager, having recently transferred from the Tile Outlets store in Tampa. Tuhro will work with industry professionals such as tile installers, general contractors, builders and designers so that Tile Outlets can better serve their unique needs. His primary responsibilities will be to cultivate, develop and maintain close business relationships with professional customers.
Matt Seider has joined RE/MAX Alliance Group as a sales associate in the Sarasota office. A native Floridian, Matt grew up in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. He earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University and went on to receive a law degree from the Arizona State University College of Law. Following law school, he handled real estate closings at a Manhattan law firm. He is a member of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group, the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee Young Professionals Network.
