Nicole Rissler has been named the chief operating officer for the Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Inc. (SANCA) the non-profit that runs Nathan Benderson Park. Rissler is leaving her position as director of Sports for Visit Sarasota County and the Sarasota County Sports Commission. Rissler has an MBA in Sports Administration and more than 14 years of experience with non-profit organizations including Lynn University, The Sarasota YMCA, the American Red Cross. Rissler has worked in a variety of capacities within these organizations including marketing, public relations, financial development and community affairs. In her new role, Rissler, will assist in the general operations of the park as well as new business development and marketing and communications.

Susan O'Neal Thompson, a CPA and Principal at CS&L CPAs, has been recognized with the state-wide "Women to Watch" award, presented by the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob Hoyle was elected chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Florida Bar. The ADR Section has 1,100 member who are involved in the resolution of disputes by mediation, arbitration and other methods as alternatives to court litigation. Hoyle has practiced law in Manatee County for 30 years. He is a graduate of Harvard College, the Harvard Law School Mediation Training Program, and Capital University Law School.
