Names and faces

Jason H. Levy, has joined the Blalock Walters, P.A., litigation practice group. Levy's practice involves business disputes, probate, estate and trust disputes, employment, and construction law related controversies. He represents individuals, developers, builders, nonprofit organizations, title companies, and retailers. Levy earned his law degree from the University of Florida in 2012 and a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in finance from UF in 2009. He was previously with McConnaghhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver, where he practiced worker's compensation defense. He is a member of Sarasota Bar Association, young lawyers division.

Dr. Ken Kaufman has opened a second Athletic Edge Sports Performance Training Center at 8134 Main St., Lakewood Ranch, offering chiropractic adjustments, deep tissue laser therapy, functional exercise, kinesiology tape, and functional sports nutrition.

Samuel Asfur Jr. has joined his wife, Lindsey Geisel Asfur, to form the "A-Team" at the Sarasota office of RE/MAX Alliance Group. He specializes in investment properties. Asfur has six years of real estate experience, serving with Century 21 Beggins Enterprises in Sarasota, Lifestyle Properties in Palmetto and Stately Homes in Palmetto.

Helaine Giddens of SaraBay Real Estate has passed the Florida state brokers exam, attaining broker associate status.

Steve Kempton of Taylor Morrison has been promoted to regional president of Florida, a newly created position that gives him responsibility for more than 50 new-home communities across the state. Kempton has been with the Taylor Morrison for eight years as president of the West Florida division, which spans from Tampa Bay to Naples.

Under his leadership and direction, Taylor Morrison's West Florida division has expanded to include more than 30 communities and has consistently ranked as one of the company's largest and most successful divisions.

Joe Holleran of RE/MAX Alliance Group has been recognized for performance and customer satisfaction as part of the company's 100 percent club. He also was named a five-star real estate agent for overall client satisfaction for the ninth consecutive year. Fewer than 6 percent of Sarasota-area agents received the five-star award, which is based on an independent survey of recent homebuyers.
