Names and faces for May 11, 2015

Three physicians at Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management -- Drs. Arthur L. Valadie, Gennady Gekht and Steven J. Schafer -- have been named to the nation's top doctors by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Valadie and Schafer work as sports medicine specialists while Gekht specializes in pain management.

Sara Eagleton, formerly with Sotheby's International Realty, has joined the Wagner Realty office at El Conquistador in Bradenton. Eagleton obtained a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design from the University of Georgia and worked for builders and developers in North and South Carolina.

Carl Watkins of Kerkering Barberio Financial Services has been awarded the accredited investment fiduciary designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The AIF designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.

Charlene Proeger of Proeger & Associates Inc. was presented the Adele Elkind Award for 2014 at a recent Aging Life Care conference. The award is for service to the profession at the local and national levels.

Realtor Lindsey Geisel Asfur has joined the Sarasota office of RE/MAX Alliance Group. She specializes in residential and investment properties. Asfur has a background as a legal assistant, serving with Greene, Hamrick, Quinlan & Schermer P.A. in Bradenton for more than four years. She entered the real estate field in 2013. A native of Greenville, Pa., Asfur graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor's degree in political science and history. She is active in the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee.
