Sutter Roofing recognized by resource center

MANATEE COUNTY -- The National Roofing Contractors Association, a trade organization, has recognized Sutter Roofing of Sarasota for its contribution to the Women's Resource Center of Manatee.

The company received an honorable mention award for giving a new roof to the Women's Resource Center of Manatee. The center is dedicated to providing help and direction to women of all ages. Every month, more than 250 women arrive at the door of the Women's Resource Center looking for support and guidance.

Sutter replaced the center's flat roof, saving the organization thousands of dollars, said Ashley Brown the Women's Resource executive director.

Manatee's TreeUmph! set to expand to Hernando County

TreeUmph! Adventure Course, Southwest Florida's first treetop obstacle course, is set to expand into Hernando County.

Following the company's success in Manatee County, TreeUmph! will rely on a combination of international expertise from TreeGo and Outplay Adventures for the design, building and installation of the obstacle course. Local businesses will be hired to assist with grounds development and construction of the base camp buildings. The opening is planned for November 2016.

The nearly 50-acre park is expected to attract tourists and residents from across the state, said Tammy Heon, tourism development coordinator at the Hernando County Tourism Bureau.

Insula buys four apartment complexes

SARASOTA -- Insula Cos., a Sarasota-based firm specializing in apartment community acquisition and revitalization, has acquired four apartment communities.

These acquisitions marked the 20th for Insula Cos. since entering the Florida market in 2009, and the firm's first foray into Pinellas County.

This year, Insula Companies acquired and will renovate the 136-unit Rivermill Apartments in Hudson for $5 million and the 92-unit Village Square Apartments in Port Richey for $4.2 million, This month the company acquired two Largo complexes: the 104-unit Forest Creek Apartments for $7.6 million and 96-unit Bryan Dairy Place Apartments for $9 million.

Gettel Hyundai dealership opens in Bradenton
