Robbie Gronbach, director of preconstruction at Willis A. Smith Construction Co., was recently appointed as the new secretary for the U.S. Green Building Council Myakka Branch Executive Council. The executive committee implements the board's fiduciary and strategic plans, policies and decisions. In his role as secretary, Gronbach will head educational and volunteer opportunities promoting the best practices for sustainable living.

Scott Goeb of Kerkering, Barberio & Co., certified public accountants, has met all of the requirements to obtain the designation of certified public accountant. Goeb graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting and began working with Kerkering Barberio in 2014 as a staff accountant.

Lori Denny, marketing and communications manager for information technology services firm SouthTech, has been appointed to the 2015 Board of Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida.

ing honors went to Michelle Simmons at El Conquistador; Lynda Melnick at Manatee East; Mary Schmidt at Manatee Avenue West; Debra Ibasfalean in Anna Maria; Dia Wilson at Longboat Key; Theresa Fieberts at First Street in Sarasota; and Carrie Leitzman and Michelle Perkins at Lakewood Ranch. Sales honors went to Richard Barnhill at El Conquistador; Melnick at Manatee East; Peter and Gina Uliano of the Royal Team at Manatee Avenue West; David Moynihan in Anna Maria Island; Mike Doyle at First Street in Sarasota; and Cyndi Myers and Diane Lee at Lakewood Ranch.

Rick Wilkins has assumed the role of director of logistics and transportation for Goodwill Manasota. Wilkins has four decades of professional customer-care experience and more than 26 years tenure with a $100 million privately held organization. He is experienced in warehousing, distribution and logistics management. Wilkins will oversee the transportation department, the home services department of donations picked up at homes, retail sales at the North Bargain Barn, as well as salvage operations, including the final processing of unsold items resold to buyers.

Carla Tralick was named the center director for Children's Academy of Southwest Florida Inc.'s Rubonia location. She has experience in early childhood, school readiness, school-age and teen services programming.
