What was the best business advice you ever received?
I had a mentor when I started practicing law. He was a good trial attorney. He told me to just be yourself, don't try to be someone else. Be yourself when you present yourself with your clients, other attorneys, at court. Do not put on a persona that's not you.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?
I was a journalist, then public relations, then law school and became an attorney, now I teach as well, but I'd like to go back into journalism. I like to write and I think with my experience that I would be a much better reporter than in the past.
What's the biggest risk you have taken in your career?
Leaving the process and the stability of practicing law to teach. Changing a career path like that was a financial risk, however, it gave me the flexibility I needed to have more time with my daughter.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?
I'd go to Western Europe and visit England and from there on to the continent to visit France, Italy and Germany.
