Ian Dolby has joined Bruce Williams Homes as project manager. He will be handling various projects such as custom homes and remodels. Dolby received his bachelor's degree from the Art Academy of Tampa. He worked for Ashley Furniture for two years and spent his time designing five domestic stores and five international stores. During his transition from Ashley Furniture to BW Homes, he spent six months working for a permit service in Tampa where he gained detailed knowledge on building codes and the permitting process.
Renea M. Glendinning, a shareholder and CPA with Kerkering, Barberio & Co., will partner with attorney Susan B. Hecker, of the law firm Williams Parker Harrison Dietz & Getzen, for a presentation on international estate tax planning at the Florida Institute of CPAs Gulf Coast Chapter Tuesday.
Tina West has joined Travel Design Center as a vacation specialist. She has more than 20 years experience in the travel industry and will be working along with agency owner Debi Colavito.
Garrick Newman has joined Neal Signature Homes as a new homes sales associate for The Concession, a gated, golf-course community. Newman, a real estate specialist with 14-plus years in the area, is in the Dominica II model at The Concession. His career in real estate began as a real estate photograper, which prompted him to become a licensed real estate agent.

Sarasota Memorial's medical staff installed its new leaders for 2014-2015, with GYN Oncologist Dr. James
Fiorica, becoming Sarasota Memorial's chief of staff. As the new chief of staff, Fiorica, who serves as Sarasota Memorial's medical director of Women's Cancer Services and who practices with Sarasota Memorial's First Physician's Group, will serve as the top representative of Sarasota Memorial's more than 800 medical staff members. A member of SMH's medical staff since 2004, Fiorica served as chief of staff-elect last year. He completed his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass. He is board certified in gynecologic oncology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologist.
Other medical staff officers appointed for 2014-2015 include chief of staff-elect Karen Hamad, MD, internal medicine/pediatrics (First Physicians Group); secretary/treasurer Ranjan Ghose, nephrology (Nephrology Associates of Sarasota); members-at-large Richard Brown, MD (oncology/hematology, Florida Cancer Specialists) and Hardy Schwartz, MD (cardiology/internal medicine, Heart Specialists of Sarasota).
Sarasota Memorial honored two physicians for their service to the hospital and community: former chief medical officer and psychiatrist Parlane Reid, MD, was awarded the health system's 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, while infectious disease specialist and hospital epidemiologist Manuel Gordillo, MD, was named 2014 Physician of the Year.
