BRADENTON — Sherod Halliburton is leaving as executive director of the city of Bradenton's Central Community Redevelopment Agency to take a position at a local credit union.
Cindy Barco, president of the Manatee Community Federal Credit Union, said Halliburton will join the organization as its executive vice president of business development beginning Feb. 6.
He will be responsible for growing Manatee CFCU’s membership and loan portfolio, developing strategies to financially empower members, assist in the creation and marketing of new products, and establish strategic alliances.
“I am honored to have been given the opportunity to participate in the physical improvement of the City of Bradenton along with the economic empowerment of the residents of the CCRA district. Joining Manatee CFCU affords me an opportunity to positively impact the lives of the residents of Manatee County by growing the capacity of one of the region’s premier financial institutions dedicated to the development and improvement of our community,” said Halliburton.
