SARASOTA - Laser Rite Business Systems, a company that provides printing equipment and document management systems for businesses, is expanding its facility and plans to add 12 jobs over the next three years, the company announced today.
Most of the jobs will be added in the next six months, according to Bobby Mallow, the company’s executive vice president.
“The substantial growth of our toner cartridge sales makes it imperative that we expand our manufacturing facility, add equipment, and recruit and train new employees,” said Mallow. “Support from Sarasota County Government will help us expedite capital investment and hiring.”
Laser Rite recently qualified for a $40,000 performance-based incentive grant from Sarasota County. To receive funds, the company committed to making capital investments of at least $134,000 and adding a minimum of 12 jobs over three years.
“Laser Rite is a great example of the county’s job-creation strategy that focuses on helping successful existing companies expand,” said Nora Patterson, chair of the Sarasota County Commission.
Founded in Sarasota in 1989, Laser Rite occupies 12,500 square feet at Northgate Industrial Park in central Sarasota and will expand into an additional 2,500 square feet at the same location. The company has 21 employees. New positions will be in manufacturing, technical and support services.
